My 5 Minute Everyday Face Routine

I don’t have time to apply make-up in the mornings when I have three little girls that I need to get up and ready so we can be on time for Kindy. Since becoming a Stay-at-home mum, my face routine is pretty quick and takes about 5 minutes.

I thought I’d share with you what I use and my 5 minute everyday face routine.

After I’ve showered and cleansed my face I will put a day moisturizer on. Straight after the moisturizer I will put on Garnier perfect blur which is like a primer before I apply my BB cream. Now that my body is getting back to normal after having Phoebe, I have had break outs, so applying the perfect blur evens out my skin so that when I apply my BB cream, it glides on easily.

Before I apply my BB cream, I will use Maybelline cover stick concealer under my eyes and over any blemishes. I will reapply this after I apply my BB cream for a complete coverage if needed.

Once that is done, I slick on some Oh My Gloss in Snog by Rimmel on my lips. This glides on so easy and adds a bit of gloss and natural colour to my lips. It’s one of the only glosses that my lips don’t dry out from.

To finish my look, I will apply Benefit They’re Real mascara. Sometimes I may go without mascara. It depends on where I’m going and what I’m doing that day.

I’m pretty slap dash when I put my everyday face on. If I am going to a function, I will swap the BB cream with a foundation and add in a blush. I also change from Snog to Rebel Red for extra colour.

I love hearing about products that others use! I use the Garnier BB cream for everyday wear too and love it! I don’t have a concealer – I really need to get one! Loving the look of those glosses! You look fabulous Bec! Hope the mums night out was fun! šŸ™‚ xo

  • I have an everyday face routine! Wash face. Apply whatever moisturiser was on sale at the supermarket that week. Done.

Admire your routine. Must get into this BB cream stuff. I have an unopened thing of Garnier BB cream from the Voices of 2014 night last year. Should probably give it a go!
Thanks for the post. For me, time is the main reason I haven’t embrace make-up, so showing me it can be done in five minutes is definitely the way to go!

  • I have 4 items for my make up routine: BB cream, mascara, eye shadow and blusher. I really should add some sort of lip colour in! #TeamIBOT

  • That looks very similar to mine. The only thing I add is a few wooshes of a multi-coloured bronzer palette that I have across the eyes and a dash on the cheeks. Its fast or not happening in my house!

  • I have gotten a little bit addicted to Benefit eyelash/brow stuff! Although last time I got my brows done, the chick told me I looked tired. Thanks. You don’t look tired though! one hot mama!

  • I need some new lip gloss. My routine is BB cream, eye liner and gloss. I find the eye liner makes my eyes pop and I can apply it quicker than mascara.

  • I wish my everyday face looked as good as yours, you gorgeous thing. I am a huge fan of garnier products and I’m almost out of my Napoleon primer, so I think I might try the Garnier one. I’ve never used a BB cream and am not even entirely sure what it is. Perhaps I should get some of that too! My everyday routine when I’m at home with the kids is moisturiser and lip gloss. Sometimes I add mascara if I think I need a lift šŸ™‚

  • A BB cream is basically a day moisturizer with a bit of foundation/ colour in it. It’s great for an everyday look if you don’t want to go the full foundation hog. x

  • I’m hopeless at applying eye liner Jess. I have shaky hands. But I’ve been told this can make a great smoky eye. Try the new Rimmel lip glosses because they are moisturizing and their colours last for 6 hours. I’m particular with my lip glosses as I find the colour doesn’t stay on or they really dry my lips out. x

  • Aww you’re sweet. It helps getting sleep at night to look good during the day. And making sure the mascara doesn’t rub underneath the bottom lashes. I have dark circles under my eyes and I can look instantly tired if the mascara rubs underneath. I get my eyebrows done sporadically. I naturally have thin eyebrows and if they look a bit bushy, hope my sweeping fringe covers the forest. šŸ˜‰

  • If I feel a bit white, and blah, I might sweep my blush brush over my cheeks, but usually I have enough colour in my cheeks that I don’t always have to apply blush.

  • I’m loving my Rimmel gloss for this reason. I usually would go a lip balm as most lip glosses dry out my lips but these ones don’t. x

  • Yes give it a go – although check you got given the right colour. I got medium colour and I needed fair. I gave it to my Mother-in-law for Christmas. x

  • Thanks Min. The night out was fun. I really enjoyed myself. Concealer is one of my weapons of power in my make-up kit. Couldn’t live without it. x
